Sri Aurobindo Education Centre

One enthusiastic youth with few others started Sri Aurobindo Kendra in a house at B.T. Sarkar Road Purulia town on 15th August 1970 to spread Sri Aurobindo and the Mother’s teaching to develop spiritual consciousness and to practice Integral Yoga, It is a centre of Sadhana open to all the caste and religion and welcome all those who aspire for the Divine Life.

Sri Aurobindo Kendra registered as a trust on 20th November 1986. Registered office of Trust and the town centre are at B.T. Sarkar Road, Purulia. The centre is situated in a building having about 36 decimal of land with boundary wall. There is Matri Mandir with an open space for prayer and meditation in front of the building. The prayer hall (“Mayer Ghar”), selling counter, library, and a research centre of Integral Education (kindergarten and post kindergarten level) are in this premise.
